I found the dining to be on the pricier side, averaging around CHF 60 per meal. Breakfast provided an ample selection, while lunch offerings during our conference were well-received. Although the wellness facilities—including a sauna and jacuzzi—seemed perpetually booked, a full-service reception and helpful staff contributed positively to our experience. The hotel does lack local attractions, but the proximity to the train station makes accessing Lucerne convenient. In essence, while the Winkelried offers a solid balance of comfort and amenities, guests should weigh the costs against the convenience and luxury of its lakeside location.
